As of Monday, 1st June, our Sales and Service departments are open for business. However, wherever possible, we are encouraging our customers to interact with us online or by telephone as much as possible to minimise unnecessary visits to our shop. Hopefully, this will be a temporary measure until the Covid 19 pandemic has eased significantly.
We have been catering for ‘distance sales’ for many years now, so are able to deal with sales from initial enquiry to delivery without the need for you to visit our showroom. We have the facility to offer live video ‘walkarounds’ and will send as many photos as you need. We fully understand that you may need to visit us to try a bike for size or to take a test ride. If you would like to do this, we ask that you contact us beforehand to book an appointment day and time. This is to minimise the number of people in our showroom at any one time and therefore reduce the chances of the transmission of the virus. Of course, we are operating ‘social distancing’ within our showroom including clear signage and the provision of sanitising hand gel dispensers and hand washing facilities. We respectfully request that for the time being, you do not turn up without an appointment to ‘browse’ our showroom.
Due to being closed for many weeks, our service department now has a huge backlog of work to catch up on, as well as a large number of sold bikes to be prepared and delivered. During the first few weeks of re-opening, we regret that we may not be able to service your bike if it was not purchased from Nightingales. To book a service, MOT or repairs, please call us on 01788 573257 or email firstname.lastname@example.org Note: Upon completion of any work, your bike and keys will be fully sanitised.
Helmets and Clothing:
Our online shops including those on Amazon and eBay will continue operating as normal. We regret that for the immediate future, we will not be permitting customers to visit the shop to try on helmets, gloves and clothing until the Covid 19 pandemic has eased significantly. This is mainly due to the fact that we have been advised that any items which have been worn have to be stored in a separate area for three days, which is not viable.
All parts enquiries should be made via phone or email. There is no need to visit our parts dept. unless you are actually collecting your items. Please call us on 01788 573257 or email email@example.com with the make, model and year of your bike. It may also help if you could provide us with your VIN/Chassis/frame number.
We apologise if it seems we are being over-cautious but these steps have been brought in to protect the wellbeing of our staff and customers.
Please bear with us during this time as we adapt our business to the ‘new normal’ and find out what works best for us all.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
